Garden-Lou takes you on the 2021 SPLASH Tour, sponsored by Chalily Garden Center.
Ten beautiful water gardens, plus three great meals, equals one incredible garden tour last Saturday called SPLASH!
From Eureka to Shrewsbury, hosts opened their gardens and invited visitors to not only view their unique water features but share breakfast, lunch, and dinner among fellow water gardening enthusiasts. Visitors could choose to either ride the charted tour bus or drive themselves.
A special treat this year was the garden of Chalily owners Joe and Tonya Summers, who opened the Manchester garden center in 2011. Water seems to be in the Summers’ blood. A combination of their children’s names, Charles and Lily, led to the shop name and both siblings are very active in running the shop and helping out at events such as SPLASH!. Tour proceeds benefit Healing Waters, a project dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities, including education and outings.
