Missouri Botanical Garden 2024 Orchid Show

It’s February. It’s cold and dreary, and you crave color, flowers, and foliage. You wonder if spring will ever truly arrive or if you’ll EVER see anything lush and lovely again…Enter Missouri Botanical Garden’s Annual Orchid Show to save us from the winter doldrums!

The show takes place in the still-shiny new Emerson Conservatory and is free with Garden Admission. MBG’s Annual Orchid Show is one of the only opportunities to see the Garden’s orchid collection.

The collection contains over 5000 plants and over 700 unique taxa, including some that are endangered or threatened. (Don’t miss the fascinating Bulbophyllum fletcherianum in the back corner!) Most of the year, the orchids are kept in the Orchid Range area of the greenhouse complex and out of sight except for greenhouse staff and their volunteers. The show is constantly changing as blooming plants are moved into display, so if you paid a visit early in the show, you should check it out again before it closes. The 2024 MBG Orchid Show runs January 27–February 25.

See Missouri Botanical Garden for more information.
