St. Louis is a showcase of spectacular gardens, both public and private, a mecca for annual garden tours and events, and a hotbed of horticultural talent, from amateur to professional.

Garden-Lou’s mission is to bring St. Louis gardens and St. Louis gardeners together, sharing with those near and far that can’t get enough of plants, gardens, and the incredibly talented people who tend them.

Garden-Lou is a virtual vision for St. Louis that reaches past all borders, be they physical geographic or those of age, race, income, gender, or ability. Plant people are some of the most generous, accepting, and helpful people around.

The focus here is on them and their passion. Garden-Lou hopes to inspire more people to help our city, country, and planet, learning that we do not own what we tend; we are only temporary stewards doing our part for those who follow.
