Lafayette Square Holiday Parlor Tour-2024
The first Lafayette Square Holiday Tour was held in 1978, back when the square was just starting to emerge from a dark, forgotten, highly avoided neighborhood. Thanks to the passion, persistence, and gumption of the early restorers, we fast-forward 46 years to find one the most prestigious, historical, and beautiful neighborhoods this side of the Mississippi.
Kudos to the Lafayette Square Neighborhood Association who did an excellent job organizing this sold-out event and staffing it with ample volunteers.
The 11 homes on this year’s tour range in ages from 150+ to two-years-old, yet all reflect the period style of “The Square” while not giving up on the personal touches and character of the current owners.
It’s those hosts that I’d like to thank especially for opening up their homes to the many admirers that passed through their doors during what’s become an endearing St. Louis holiday tradition.
Enjoy!
