Garden-Lou visits Garden Glow-Missouri Botanical Garden’s holiday light display
When your favorite botanical garden adds over one million lights to the already stunning grounds, the result is pure holiday magic!
The 1.3-mile route takes you from the front entrance, through the Gladney Rose Garden with its musical, lighted tree, past the Climatron where the luminaries put on a mesmerizing musical light show. Heny Shaw’s home features a laser show on the facade that is a must see. The Victorian and Maze areas are beautiful, and if you think the Dawn redwoods are impressive any time of year, wait until you see them during the holidays. The route heads back through the daylily garden and past THE most spectacular sweet gum tree all dressed up in blue and white lights. The central axis between the Spink Pavillion and Climatron puts on another fun show, and the lights continue through the Hosta Garden, ending in the Ottoman Garden with its spectacular Taylor junipers. Don’t miss the green sycamore on the way out!
